My Favorite Romantic Movies…

Yes, I write romantic fiction, and I love romantic movies, imagine that. After the week I’ve had—I could use a weekend filled with chick flicks and popcorn! So here they are, my top five romantic movies…

The Notebook 1. The Notebook- I won’t give anything away, in case you haven’t seen this movie (and if you haven’t seen it, where have you been?). The Notebook still makes me cry!! So don’t forget the Kleenex.

  2. You’ve Got Mail- I met my husband via the      internet, so “You’veYouve Got Mail Got Mail” evokes fond memories for me;  and who doesn’t love a Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan movie?

Chocolat_sheet3. Chocolat- Everything about this film is sensual and makes me tingle just thinking about it. Chocolate, the French countryside, and Johnny Depp playing a gypsy. All of these elements make Chocolat a feast for the senses.

4. An Affair to Remember- I am a Cary Grant fan, his charm and witAn affair to remember make him, in my opinion; the perfect romantic lead. There are several Grant films to choose from, but this film is a classic romance. Boy meets girl, boy falls in love with a girl, boy loses girl; and in the end boy finds his way back to his one true love…ah, the perfect romantic story.

5. Winter’s Tale- This movie isn’t on DVD yet, but if you have a chance to take in a movie this weekend I would suggest “Winter’s Tale”. A magical Irish story of timeless loveA Winter's Tale—need I say more?

Movie Quote: Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life – well, valuable, but small – and sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven’t been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn’t it be the other way around? I don’t really want an answer. I just want to send this cosmic question out into the void. So good night,  dear void.  —Kathleen Kelly in “You’ve Got Mail”
